PVC started as a way to put out music we believe in. Five years later, we still do that, but we’ve realised we spend just as much time talking about music as we do releasing it. The records we can’t stop playing. The artist a friend sent us at 2 a.m. The small release with 200 plays that deserves 20.000.
So in 2027, we’re opening an editorial section on this website. We’ve been thinking about it for a while. It’s now time to stop thinking and start doing.
You can expect reviews, recommendations and different formats, such as interviews / playlists / mixes / whatever it really is. Some of it will be about PVC artists, and we’ll always say so when it is. Most of it won’t be. It’s the same mindset as the label: dig in the underground, find the stuff that deserves more ears, and share it without pretending to be neutral. We have taste, and we’re not hiding it.
We’re putting together a small team of volunteers. A labour of love. We can be upfront and share that it’s a DIY project, just like everything else we do. If you write, record, curate, or just have strong opinions about music, we’d like to hear from you. Send us a few lines about what you’d cover and what you’re listening to right now at castlecollective.pro@gmail.com. You don’t need a portfolio. You need curiosity and something to say.
We can’t wait to get started. See you in 2027.
