Why Less Gear Means More Music | Melodic Minute
Hey friends,
and welcome back to another Melodic Minute. Today's episode is about something that keeps pulling me back whenever music making starts to feel like work instead of joy: simplicity. The whole jam you're hearing was played live with my new ambient template, Ambient Atelier, running on the Ableton Push 3 and in Ableton Live.
Ambient Atelier is a performance-ready ambient template built around a deliberately small system: 8 instrument tracks, one performance FX rack, and a mastering rack. That's it. The idea was to see how far a setup can go when it stays simple enough to be inviting for beginners, yet deep enough to keep advanced performers exploring. In this episode I talk about why limitations spark creativity, how starting simple gets your ideas flowing, and why the paradox of choice can quietly kill a session before it starts.
If you'd like to play with Ambient Atelier yourself, you can grab it here:
Direct from my shop: https://kvndra.com/shop/p/ambient-ate...
Via my partner Isotonik Studios: https://isotonikstudios.com/dm/kv/ate...
Buying the template directly supports my work and helps keep slow projects like Melodic Minute going. Thank you so much for that.
Have a great week and stay creative,
Milan (KVNDRA)
