Hexwave - ‘What Is Left’ Out Now!

Hexwave’s debut EP ‘What Is Left’ is now out through Petite Victory Collective.

Here’s some words from our man concerning this new release: “My debut EP under my new name "Hexwave" came together in two halves. Firstly, songs like "Eradication" (which came out much earlier in a different state) and the slow plodding opener "Cursed City" were made as one off jams, which got some traction and I felt really proud of, which caused me to start to think I wished I had more songs in that style.

After some time and some thinking, I realized most of my favourite songs were in the same wheelhouse which makes sense given the heavy music that I tend to listen to. From there, I decided it was time to strip myself of my previous name Chroma Surge, and focus on this sound under Hexwave, and the final two songs were made.

"Witches" keeps the tempo up, bringing a moody dance beat with a powerful lead. Finally closing the EP, "No Future" sounds like the name implies; a big ominous ender to the dark fantasy, bringing the big sound of the Minifreak in to compliment the otherwise solo Syntakt pulling the rest of the tracks.

The Syntakt's powerful FX track with the crunchy overdrive and lovely analog filter was instrumental in this EP, and it is a sound that I will reach for a lot moving forward.”
