Hexwave
Hexwave is the artist name of Jesse, from Toronto Canada. Previously known under the moniker Chroma Surge, under which he has released 4 experimental albums before deciding it was time to rebrand and focus more on a more specific sound.
This new project zones in on what he does best; dark, heavy, melody-forward with a song based structure. His music often sits in the realm of downtempo but also can speed up into the pulse of a techno beat when it suits. Taking influence from darksynth, industrial and death/doom metal, but also from the slower realms of atmospheric ambience, cinematic and videogame soundtracks, and minimal electronic, his music brings you through the fantastical imagined worlds blurring the lines between a dystopian city and a dark fantasy.
He works with a minimal hardware synth setup, with mixing and mastering done in Reaper.

“Here we go! After 31 jams in 31 days, this is my first post-Jamuary jam of 2023 and the first step towards my next project :).
This is, as the next few will likely be, a reinterpretation/expansion/refinement of one of my favorite Jamuary jams, basically remade from the ground up (and with a Digitakt instead of an SP404).”
