Void Castor
After meeting through the dense world of dawless jammers and desktop noodlers, Audible Void and Silence_Castor hit it off and became fast friends. Both really enjoyed the idea of keeping the electronic genre in flux. On any given day, you could find them working on ambient soundscapes, deep gritty IDM, or relaxing acoustic-tronic. This led them to work on their first collaboration and soon after, they decided to form an official group.
Void Castor's influences are immeasurable, as both members have quite an extensive list of inspirations that constantly evolve. However, it is very easy to pick up on both artists' styles when you listen to their music. There is a certain enjoyment both musicians take in degrading something until it reaches another level of beauty. Whether this means recycling old cassettes and resampling them for new material, feeding the mix through analog saturation/distortion/compression, or including a square wave bass that could shatter a foundation; these two are on a mission to invoke deep emotional reactions through their music.
