Deega is a solo electronic music project from the Italian, Nicolò Di Gabriele. Starting his musical career as a guitarist in local rock bands, his earliest influences were punk-rock and grunge.
In 2017, he branched into electronic music with his initial works produced within Ableton Live. Created within the minimal techno genre, these early tracks featured repetitive vocal loops and hypnotic atmospheres.
His first release was a single, Scattered, in April 2021. Following this, Deega moved to a DAWless setup just prior to releasing his first EP, Blows of SOB’s Bowls, in October 2021. This switch proved to be pivotal and inspired new ways in which to create.
His debut album, Is This You Again?, is planned to release in October 2022. As a concept album it focuses on the journey of philosophical metamorphosis within the individual.
