ABOUT // Getting excited here. Just a couple of days left until the Premiere of our new performance „MUTTER!“ in the Kulturkirche St. Jakobi Stralsund. I can’t wait to see the dancers and friends and work with them once again! The performance is structured in 4 main parts and this is the music for one of them. Compared to the other parts this might me the sweetest one 🌈

The director Bernardo San Rafael, asked me to create a piece of positive energy that feels like walking over fluffy clouds. I implemented this requirement by using the A4 for a sweet and evolving arpeggio playing in the upper range of the spectrum. Up in the sky with tons of onboard reverb.

There is a bass modulated by the LFO appearing in big waves. And there are samples repeated from the intro track, but modulated and reversed beyond recognition. The power of the performance modes of both Four and Rytm let’s me do so many things at a single knob rotation, I really love these features of the big Elektron boxes ❤️

“MUTTER!”, 15. & 16.6.2023 19:30 h / Kulturkirche St. Jakobi Stralsund. Supported by Fonds Darstellende Künste (Wiederaufnahme Förderung). #dawless #analogsynth #analogsynthesizer
