Access Times - ‘System Restart’ Out Now!

Access Times’s debut album ‘System Restart’ is now out through Petite Victory Collective.

Get ready to dive into an album that blends the borders between ambient, jazz and LoFi - often using modular synth as a starting point, adding to that abstract and ambient guitar, slow modal jazz trumpet and a selection of other instruments makes for a genre blending ambient experience.

Access Times is: Alpha Mound aka Joakim Westlund (modular, keys, bass & drums), DVR aka Olav Christensen (guitar) and Foggy aka Phil Hanson (trumpet). Formed out of a collaborative experiment, Access Times are today excited to release their debut album, System Restart, with the world. As musically complex as it is beautifully simplistic.

Joakim Westlund - Multi-intstrumental and multi-genre with a lean towards the ambient. Making music in the mill town of Sandviken, Sweden. Previous releases as Alpha Mound on PVC are ”Still Explorations” and ”Displacement”.

Olav Christensen - Guitar player with an affinity for complex ambient layers.  Originally from Copenhagen, Denmark, now living in Brooklyn, NY. Previous releases as DVR on PVC include a track on compilation album MNNW and independently released soundtrack for the critically acclaimed and international award winning movie "Finding Ophelia".

Phil Hanson - Free-Modal Ambient Jazz Trumpeter, from Yorkshire in England, now full time resident in France. Originally from a classically trained background, Phil has been on a journey of free-improvisation and musical experimentation since 2009. System Restart is Phil’s first PVC release.
