Taken from their second album Strata, Movement81’s Desireline is a track structured much as you might expect. It inhabits its release space alongside a series of remixes that are arguably more nomadic in structure, yet even these remain constrained by a tendency towards organization, imposed by both composer and listener alike. In much the same way, the desire line itself slowly transforms from a nomadic path that deliberately ignores established structure into the most agreeable and widely travelled route. Eventually cementing its own place within the organization it initially set out to disrupt.
Movement81’s forthcoming second album Strata is set for release on 23rd October, on Petite Victory Collective.
