AWITW - ‘Insanity’ EP Out Now!
AWITW’s new EP ‘Insanity’ is now out through Petite Victory Collective.
Insanity project was recorded during the second lockdown during the Covid-19 crisis in France in 2020. Here are some personal words from our man concerning the story and process behind this project:
”The darkness of this album is due to the large doses of Alprazolam 50mg that I ingested during these few weeks of composition. I found myself facing my madness, my inner demon, which was freed through this creative process. My anxieties, my depression, everything turned into music.
It was creepy at the same time, but this process also allowed me, with hindsight, to learn about myself, about this madness. I had never materialized so much before. I mainly used the Arturia Pigments plugin on this project, its wide sound palette helped me a lot to find the sounds I was looking for for this Techno-oriented project. I also went looking for voices from the movie "Army of the Twelve Monkeys" which I transformed to make them more creepy.
The project was released in 2020, and finding it more important in terms of meaning than my other releases, I deleted it from stores to look for a label to make a reissue. I thought of my friends Krostif and Wall Brown to ask them a remix of two of the original tracks, and I'm completely amazed on how they understood the identity of the project so much their remixes are coherent with the final set. I also proceeded to a remaster of the original tracks. I am really very happy to present it to you on Petite Victory Collective, because telling this story has found all its meaning for me through this label. Can be like ending therapy.”
