Formal Process - ‘Future Clarity’ Out Now!
Formal Process’s new Album ‘Future Clarity’ is now out through Petite Victory Collective.
Here’s some words from our man concerning this new release: “Sometimes the only thing keeping one grounded is knowing that the current situation is temporary. The future is yet unwritten and burdens of today are not present in that far-off time. In the beat-driven tracks of Future Clarity you will find glimpses of possible futures: a future that may look surprisingly like the past; an other-worldly, bleak future that is a stark contrast from today; or a future full of wonder that requires us to live our best selves. Nod your head, shake your hips, and clap along to this instrumental mix of house and electro beats.”
This album was written and produced by the US based artist Formal Process over the last year. Some songs came from the 2022 and 2023 Jamuary challenge events, others were developed slowly over time. This collection was created on various hardware synthesizers, samplers, and sequencers with touches of improvisational jamming throughout.
About the Album cover: “The blue circular graphic used as the album cover is a warp and mirror manipulation of overhead webcam footage of my equipment as I played it for these tracks. The center color pattern comes from the Synthstrom Deluge sequencer lights, and the outside blue comes from the Modal Electronics Cobalt8 synthesizer. Made using Magic Studio and Gimp editors.”
