Hold and sample’s new EP ‘Re-entry’ is now out through Petite Victory Collective.

Hold and sample is a side project of ITEM where he explores a harsher and faster sound. Partly inspired by the Detroit techno second wave and the Detroit-Berlin connection that followed.

”I started dabbling into music production very late by regular standards. But I'm thankful to have put in the work. It has become a vital creative output. And also a way to relive all the great times I've spent in parties, clubs and hanging out in record shops. Techno is what got me interested in electronic music in the first place. And even though I seem to lose interest at times, in favour of more mellow genres, I always come back to it.”
