Wilk Kick - ‘Mörk Skog’ EP Out Now!

What about a spontaneous drop to celebrate the beginning of the week? We’re today delighted to welcome Wilk Kick in the roster with his debut EP ‘Mörk Skog’. Now out through Petite Victory Collective.

Wilk Kick is a sound artist from Gdansk, Poland. He currently lives in Copenhagen. Wilk Kick's musical journey started when he played local post punk bands as a bass player. His constant search of unique and original sounds naturally lead the discovery of effect pedals, electronic instruments and DAW. Simultaneously, he discovered the underground electronic scene and started to experiment with drum n' bass, minimal, trip hop, dubstep and techno.

After moving from Poland to Denmark, he re-discovered his passion for four to the flour music, which he had been fascinated by since an early age. Inspired by his early influences and his experiences from the last, he recorded Mörk Skog’. As a result of a 10 year long relationship with electronic music.

“From sampling to synthesis, from digital to analog, from DAW to hardware - this EP is a combination of returning to my roots and the freedom of my first unconcerned production. The EP contains four tracks entirely made on 3 Elektron instruments, recorded through a mixing desk, hardwarely compressed and rawly mixed in Ableton.“

This material takes the listener for a trip to a dark forest, in Swedish Mörk Skog. The vibe is early minimal techno, sample based over compressed house music and dreamy soundscapes.

The cover of this release is an abstract acrylic painting by the Polish artist Michal Linow, designed exclusively for the purpose of this album.

Don't be a stranger!
