PSYRROX - 'Life Is Like A Jew’s Harp' EP Out Now !

PSYRROX’s new EP 'Life Is Like A Jew’s Harp' is now out through Petite Victory Collective.

From the artist: “This debut EP is a six-track collection drawn from the past. Highlighting the quirky, melodic side of my musical identity. My inspiration tends to arrive from unexpected places, encounters with people or animals, particular instruments, films (even the bad ones), or simply moments that leave a sonic impression.

Life Is Like a Jew’s Harp: The title track is rooted in the sound of the jew’s harp, an instrument my father would bring out for special occasions, such as greeting the midsummer sunrise at Ale’s Stones, the ancient ship-setting in southern Sweden.

Freezing Insects: Began with a custom patch I created on the Waldorf XTk, gradually evolving into a frozen, shimmering soundscape.

Strange SX: A less than impressive adult film unexpectedly sparked the idea. It starts with a delicate melody before shifting into something more eccentric and explicit, then finally settling back into calm after its crescendo.

Neoprene Bear: Draws from my kitesurfing days, specifically the feeling at the seaside and wearing a neoprene wetsuit that made me look a bit like a bear.

The Dark Cells of the Labyrinth: Combines a rumbling bassline with imagery inspired by a particular film and the specialized cells of the inner ear responsible for maintaining the fluid and ion balance of the endolymph.

Closing the collection, Madland: is a warm, reggae and dub influenced downbeat track created together with my brother. The piece features a serene middle section where I play nylon string guitar.

Together, these tracks form a personal, playful journey through the memories, sounds, and odd inspirations that continue to shape my music.”

Be sure to check this one out and you won’t be disappointed!
